| Click here to Ask the Administrator Notice of 2010 Annual Fall Meeting and Election of Officers/Directors It’s time to begin accepting nominations for our 2010-2011 TASCOE Directors. Your assistance is needed AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Willing candidates need to submit their names to me, Lisa Parchman (Secretary/Treasurer), no later than July 19st. My email address is tascoesecretary@yahoo.com and my cell phone number is 931-206-4585. At least four (4) names are needed from each district. We have a lot of well-qualified members in Tennessee who would make great TASCOE directors. Please seriously consider stepping up to the plate and nominate someone, or nominate yourself. Again, we must have all nominations to Lisa no later than July 19. The TASCOE Districts are: District 1: Carter, Cocke, Greene, Hawkins/Hancock, Jefferson, Johnson, Sullivan,
Washington/Unicoi Election Policy If four names are not submitted, the current directors are required to develop/complete a list of eligible candidates who are willing to serve. Two (2) directors shall be elected in each district, with at least one (1) being a regular employee other than a CED. Two (2) alternate directors shall be elected in each district at the same time to serve in the absence of regular director(s). The 2010 TASCOE Annual Fall Meeting and Election of Officers will be held Friday, August 27, 2010 in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo. The address is: 1400 Market Street, Chattanooga, TN. 37402. The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. (CST). If you have any items you would like included on the agenda, please contact Lisa Parchman no later than August 13, 2010. I would ask that all Directors make every effort to attend this meeting on August 27, 2010. If you cannot attend, please make arrangements for your district’s alternates to attend. As always, we encourage all of our members and supporters to attend our meetings. So, please help us invite the members in your district to attend this meeting and our convention. Respectfully, First Timer's Award At the Mid Year Business Meeting, the TASCOE Directors approved a First Timer's Award to provide up to $500 annually towards the expenses to attend the NASCOE (national) convention. This award is offered to members meeting eligibility requirements. Applications must be completed and postmarked no later than June 30, 2010. First Timer's Application PDF NASCOE Memorial Presentation Several years ago at our NASCOE Convention, a tradition was begun that has become a special part of the convention agenda. In honor of our deceased NASCOE members, we pause at the National Convention to remember those who have passed away in the last year. This very special service is a time that we pay tribute to those who were dedicated members of NASCOE and who promoted and supported our employee organization during their lifetime. During this special observance, we recognize our deceased members with a touching Power Point presentation set to special music. We ask that you help us honor the deceased members from your state by submitting their information and a photo, if available, so they may be memorialized in the service. Andrea Stafford, Program Technician from Tennessee, has volunteered to put the memorial service presentation together for the convention in August. Please submit the requested information along with a photo to Andrea. You may submit via email or send a hard copy by mail, to her addresses listed below.
